London’s supper clubs are dotted all over the city including the chefs’ homes! Supper clubs are a mix of restaurant and dinner parties. Here are 5 of our favourites:

1) The London Supper Club

The name may be simple, but the food is anything but. These three course bistro-style meals, prepared by Balham based chef John, provide plenty of variety and will leave you raving about your meal long after you leave the table.

Typical dishes: roasted pork belly, duck liver parfait, plum frangipane pudding, cardamom truffles.

2) The First Bite Is

Founder Emily Amuke offers a four course meal on a bi-monthly basis. Influenced by the foods of Kenya and Indian, her dishes pack a flavour-full punch – and you’ll even get a goodie bag to take home.

Typical dishes: coconut and sweetcorn fritters, scallops juste tiede, wild baked prawns, raspberry and chocolate soufflé.

3) Flaming Flamingo

The Flaming Flamingo supper club is run by Kali, a classically trained chef who has worked in America, Asia and Europe, and comes out with suitably globally-inspired dishes.

Typical dishes: grilled figs with pecorino and honey, seafood tempura, coriander crushed potatoes, white chocolate and passion fruit tart.

4) Leluu

Leluu is the brainchild of Uyen Luu, a food stylist from Hackney. Her supper clubs are held in her own flat, where you’ll be fed around 8 delicious dishes of quintessential Vietnamese food.

Typical dishes: beef pho, lemongrass pork patties, miso aubergine, coconut sorbet.

5) The Disappearing Dining Club

The Disappearing Dinner Club commences with canapés, fills you up with a four course dinner, and then opens the bar for DJ sets and dancing. Held once a month from a range of different locations, this supper club is perfect for those who like an after party.

Typical dishes: white bean and truffle soup, beetroot and vodka cured mackerel, salt caramel tart, popcorn parfait.
