Enjoy dinner, drinks and a chance to meet…
Karen Lynch is CEO of Belu, an innovative social enterprise and the UK’s most ethical water brand. Karen joined Belu back in 2009 and pivoted the business away from targeting the supermarkets and their low margins, to instead focus on supplying the more lucrative hotels, restaurants and office sectors. When she took over, the company was £1.6M in debt, and now has annual revenues of over £6M. Belu operates to the highest environmental and ethical standards and donates 100% of its profits to WaterAid; over £2M to date. Karen will be talking about this all important pivot and the business success this lead Belu to have.
This dinner is perfect for…
Business owners, CEO’s, management level and those interested and working in social enterprise.
If you'd like to join but don't fall neatly within the above categories, please email us at hello@tablecrowd.com to discuss whether this is the right dinner for you. Also feel free to check out our other dinners as another might match you perfectly!
The dinner conversation will be…
Belu has been recognised with many awards including SMARTA, Social Enterprise UK, National Business Awards, Lloyds TSB People, Environment and Achievement Awards, CoolBrands and The Business Charity Awards, so Karen, as Belu CEO is therefore perfectly placed to speak about:
✓ Why business pivots are not a sign of weakness, but strength.
✓ How she turned around a loss making business.
✓ Scaling operations whilst pivoting the business model.
✓ How to achieve social and environmental gains whilst remaining financially sustainable.
Expect to leave with ideas for your own business as well as the opportunity to speak to Karen and others facing similar industry challenges and opportunities as you informally over dinner.
