Richard Watson is a well-known author, speaker, futurist and scenario thinker who helps organisations to think about emerging growth opportunities and risks. He is the founder and editor of Now and Next, a website that documents global trends, and the publisher of the What’s Next report, with each issue offering concise commentary on some of the drivers of change within the macro-environment and speculating about future risks and opportunities.

Richard Watson, is a well-known author, speaker, futurist and scenario thinker who helps organisations to think about emerging growth opportunities and risks. He is the founder and editor of Now and Next, a website that documents global trends and the publisher of the What’s Next report, with each issue offering concise commentary on some of the drivers of change within the macro-environment and speculating about future risks and opportunities.
He is the author of five books about various aspects of the future (including one about scenario process), has been a blogger on innovation for Fast Company magazine and has written for Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies and Mckinsey & Company. New book (Digital Vs Human) about AI and robotics, which was published in 2017.
Richard is also a visiting lecturer at London Business School, futurist-in-residence within the Foresight Practice at Imperial College London and part of the Futures Group at the Civil Aviation Authority.
