We're really excited to have teamed up with Startacus to host this entrepreneurs's networking dinner.

Get ideas, get inspired and make the invaluable contacts you need to start or continue on your startup journey.

Our after dinner speaker is one of the ultimate self starters. Jonathan Grubin launched his first business at the age of 14. ForFree4U, a group of websites that offered its members rewards in exchange for signing up with advertising partners. The network turned over £75,000 in its first full year of business, and its membership grew to over 70,000 people from across the UK.

In November 2007, he was part of a project that won £1.2 million of funding for a ‘beacon for public engagement’ – a partnership between Newcastle and Durham universities and the Centre for Life. He also co-founded enterprising.at, an organisation supported by One NorthEast and the Entrepreneurs’ Forum to inspire, support and promote young people in business.

In July 2009, Jonathan launched Live Newcastle, a project designed to support independent retail and leisure businesses in the North East. Members were entitled to discounts and benefits worth hundreds of pounds at the company’s partners, whilst businesses gain the ability to target marketing on an effective and affordable level.

Jonathan was CEO at SendSocial Ltd until June 2011, and the youngest member of its fledgling team. SendSocial.com launched in November 2009, and allowed individuals to send anything, anywhere, without an address.

He was shortlisted for the Young Business Person of the Year Award at the 2008 North East Business Executives of the Year Awards, and was the youngest person to be included in The Journal’s ‘Rising Stars and Future Leaders’ guide to the North East.

After completing his A-levels in Newcastle, Jonathan started an undergraduate degree in business management at King’s College London in September 2009, however placed his studies on hold in January 2010 in order to take his enterprising journey full-time.

He now heads up SoPost, which lets people send free physical and digital gifts to their friends via social media, without needing to know a delivery address.

Still in his early 20s, Jonathan has a great story and is a wonderful speaker.

Price includes private dining experience with after dinner speaker, 2 course dinner & all drinks and high calibre networking.
