The firm was founded in November 2013 with a $40 million fund, and has made 19 investments to date, which now have a collective market capitalization of $3.7 billion. Hussein currently represents Hoxton on the boards of Babylon Health, bd4travel, Behavox, Darktrace, TourRadar and Yieldify, and previously served as a board observer of Deliveroo. Hussein is also an angel investor in Bea's of Bloomsbury, GoCardless, Halo Neuroscience, Popxo, Signpost and Yieldify.

He also helped Eros International (NYSE:EROS) build its digital strategy and launch ErosNow, its online video platform. Hussein has also occasionally assisted the UK government with technology policy, and appears occasionally on BBC, Bloomberg, CNN and Sky News.
Hussein holds an MBA from London Business School, and did his undergraduate studies in Symbolic Systems at Stanford University.
