With a wealth of experience and knowledge in sustainable and ethical fashion, in 2013 she co-founded Fashion Revolution, a global movement calling for greater transparency, sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry. A global campaign with participation in over 100 countries around the world, Fashion Revolution aims to radically change the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed. Orsola will be sharing all on this fashion revolution and how we can all create sustainability and transparency in fashion.

Who is Orsola de Castro?
Orsola de Castro is an internationally recognised opinion leader in sustainable fashion. In 2013, with Carry Somers, she founded Fashion Revolution, a global campaign with participation in over 100 countries. In 1997 she founded From Somewhere, a label designing clothes made entirely from pre-consumer waste and her designer collaborations include collections for Jigsaw, Tesco, Speedo, and Topshop. In 2006, she co-founded the British Fashion Council initiative Estethica at London Fashion Week, which she curated until 2014.

Prior to Fashion Revolution, in 1997 she founded From Somewhere, a label designing clothes made entirely from pre-consumer waste and her designer collaborations include collections for Jigsaw, Tesco, Speedo, and 4 best selling capsule collections for Topshop from 2012 to 2014. In 2006, she co-founded the British Fashion Council initiative Estethica at London Fashion Week, which she curated until 2014.
The daughter of a Venetian artist, she took part in her first group exhibitions of etchings and drawings in Rome and Venice aged 15. In 1986-87, she had 5 solo shows in Italy sponsored by Letraset Italia, using their famous Pantone felt-tips and presenting her illustrations and reclaimed vintage hats.
Orsola is a regular keynote speaker and mentor, Associate Lecturer at UAL, as well as Central Saint Martins Visiting Fellow.
