Join us for dinner, drinks & a chance to meet others with talent on their mind. Recruiting talent is one of the biggest pain points for businesses, particularly new businesses.
Like any business, startups need to attract the best talent they can afford, in each and every discipline in order to make waves in their marketplace. This is particularly important when scaling up. Brands like Apple, Google, AirBNB and Burberry are of course talent magnets, and that’s all very good if you’re a multinational who’s invested in building a reputation around nurturing employees and looking after their future. But how do you go about becoming a talent magnet when you’re a startup that's not a household name?
How do you get the best people to gravitate to your business, and importantly, how do you get them to stay and grow with you?
Join dinner with Mark Hardy, CMO of Viber who achieved just this in the early stages of Viber and global C suite marketing headhunter Jules McKeen of The Talent Business who lives and breathes this challenge.
In their after dinner talk they will share learnings from brands around the world, both established and new business, and will open a discussion and Q&A.
The cost includes private dining experience with speaker, 2 course dinner with wine plus highly curated and relevant networking.

>Mark Hardy, CMO of Viber
Mark Hardy joined Viber in 2014 as Chief Marketing Office. He is responsible for Viber’s global marketing strategy and leads marketing teams based in Brazil, India, The Philippines, Russia, Vietnam and the United States.
Mark’s passion for building brands has been central to many successful launches in the entertainment and digital space. Before joining Viber, Mark was Group Digital Director at Bauer Media UK, where he led the creation of ‘The Debrief’, Bauer’s first digital-only media platform.
As Marketing Director for Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment, Mark was responsible for the global launch of One Direction – the first British band ever to debut at No.1 in the US with each of their first three albums. Prior to that, he was European Marketing Director at Sony PlayStation, responsible for PlayStation 2, the launch of PS3 and The PlayStation Network.
>Jules McKeen of The Talent Business
After almost two decades in the clutches of London’s Adland - running large multinational accounts for Grey, DDB and Lowe; and as Group Marketing Director of TBWA’s UK agencies - Jules decided to jump ship, leave the boardroom and, sadly, the expense account and set up a start up. With a designer she co-founded Peaks of London, a high-end fashion label serving an unmet need in the market for stylish, discreet breastfeeding clothing. Four years, many grey hairs, and a few good times later, the label was selling in 14 countries and the two sold the label to a US company. Jules joined The Talent Business two years ago and runs the European marketing practice out of London, placing CMOs and senior tech-savvy marketing talent into well known creatively-led global brands who value the contribution creativity can add to commercial performance.
This dinner is hosted by one of TableCrowd's wonderful hosts. She'll be looking after you on the night.
